Planning an Equine Wellness Barn Day

A practical guide for trainers, barn managers, and boarders on organizing a Barn Day — minimums, scheduling, set-up, and communication.

Quick answer: A Barn Day is a single visit where five or more horses at the same location are scheduled on the same day. Every horse receives discounted Barn Day pricing, and horses can belong to different owners.

Barn Days are one of the most efficient ways to keep several horses on a consistent wellness routine. Here’s how to organize one smoothly.

1. Gather interest

Start with a quick message to your boarders or clients. Share the Barn Day page so everyone can see the services and per-horse pricing. Many owners who wouldn’t schedule a solo visit are happy to join a group day.

2. Pick a point person

One trainer, barn manager, or boarder should coordinate. That person collects names, horses, and preferred services, and is the main contact for confirming the date.

3. Send the inquiry

Use the Barn Day inquiry form with the barn name, city, approximate horse count, and a few date options. A rough count is fine — you can finalize the list once the date is confirmed.

4. Build the list

For each horse, gather:

  • Horse name and owner contact
  • Service: PEMF or PEMF + 3B Laser
  • Any health history, recent veterinary care, or concerns the owner wants to share

5. Prepare the space

Choose a quiet area with safe, level footing and shade. Plan for each horse to be caught and ready at its time, with a handler who knows the horse.

6. On the day

I’ll work through the list and share observations with each owner or the trainer. Owners who can’t attend can arrange a handler and get a quick follow-up afterward.

Tips for a smooth Barn Day

  • Schedule around feeding and peak lesson times.
  • Group horses that are calm in the work area early in the day.
  • Keep dogs and children clear of the work area, especially during 3B Laser work.
